Welcome to another In My Mailbox hosted by The Story Siren.
I was lucky enough to attend the Texas Library Association convention this week and I had an amazing time! It was much calmer than ALA Midwinter which made everything less stressful and more enjoyable. I was able to get these books signed:
I didn’t get as many books as I got at Midwinter, which is a good thing, but they still had some great titles up for grabs. Here are the books that I was most excited about:
I also got some awesome HG swag!
The highlight of the conference was getting to meet JUDY BLUME! I stood in line for 1.5 hours (totally worth it). She was only signing two books per person, so I got one signed for each of my kids. I wasn’t sure what to expect from such a famous author, but she was extremely nice and so gracious. It was a little surreal since I grew up reading and loving her books, but I am so glad I got to meet her.
Here’s what I’m reading this week:
The Good Father by Diane Chamberlain
Above by Leah Bobet
Entice by Carrie Jones
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Oh I can’t wait to read Promised! I love that series and feel like it does not get the recognition it deserves! Hope you like it!

Very nice mailbox this week, Kate! 🙂 Love the picture of you and Judy Blume! It’s likely I passed right by you and didn’t notice :-/ So glad you had a great time. Wasn’t TXLA fun?! I heard it was absolutely insane at ALA, so I think this was a good trial run for me. Haha!

Wow, Kate. What a fabulous list this week. The icing on the cake is, of course, meeting Judy Blume. Man, the summer days she and I spent together through her books… Priceless memories.
