Yesterday I was able to attend the Houston Teen Book Con! There were a ton of really great YA authors there. I was very excited to get allllll of these books signed!
I was also able to meet two of my very favorite YA authors –
Holly Black!
…and Siobhan Vivian! (If you haven’t read The List, go get it today. It is FABULOUS)
The panels were all very interesting and I learned a lot about the writing process and even the process of book to film. It was great seeing so many teens buying books and talking about reading and writing. It was a fantastic event!!

Oh don’t you just love getting to meet the authors of books you love! It’s soo much fun! You took home a bunch of books too. I want to read the list really bad, it looks like its right up my alley! 🙂 I hope you enjoy your new reads!
It was so nice seeing you this weekend! I got Redemption from netgalley too, but I wasn’t a fan of it. I hope you like it more then I did. I hope that you enjoy your new books!

Just finished Between Shades of Gray. It was so good!
I am thinking of downloading the audiobooks for Cinder and White Cat. The ladies at Books and Sensibility suggested them. I have heard nothing but good things about both of those books.

I really really want to read Cinder. Haven’t had the chance to pick it up! Same with White Cat! And ooh! I’ve been hearing some awesome thing about Between Shades of Gray! Also, Redemption looks really really good!

Great mailbox, Kate! Mine looks a little similar to yours 😉 So glad you had a great time at Teen Book Con. It was SO much fun! The panels were great, the authors were better than I expected, and the energy given off by all the book lovers was addictive 🙂 Can’t wait for more events like that one!
