Welcome to another Feature and Follow Friday, hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read!
Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?
I think that Horror is probably the genre I read the least.ย I don’t know why, I just can’t ever get into a book where I know that pretty much everyone will die.ย I also feel that, in general, the writing style just doesn’t appeal to me.
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you are a new follow so I can follow back!
Ooh horror! Good choice. That’s definitely one of my lesser read genres too. Same for movies – I get scared way too easily, haha. Following back! ๐

From A to Z
I usually stay away from that too. Especially at dark.
Happy Friday!
oh yeah I don’t think I’ve ever read a horror book, unless you consider World War Z one? I don’t think so though.

I love Stephen King but I am not interested in hard core graphic horror

I do not enjoy horror either. I hate being scared!
Following back!
Seeing a lot of horror this morning, not a genre I have problems with. Thanks for stopping by! Old follower
I don’t read a lot either but more than Science fiction books for example.

here is mine
Horror doesn’t seem like a big favorite on this post. I’m not opposed to it, I always like a book that gets my heart pumping faster. Now, if the boo is pure gore, torture and death, then I’d probably skip over it.

Try a book by Dean Koontz. He’s more psychological horror than bloody & guts. Thanks for following me at Reading With Monie.
Looks like quite a few people aren’t a fan of horror books. I like the occasional horror book myself but I read other genres more often. ๐

Horror is one of my least favorites. Have a happy Friday!

horror is a hard read for me too. old follower ๐ http://totallybookedsolid.blogspot.com/2012/01/follow-friday_27.html
Good choice on horror. I haven’t really tried reading horror much, I would probably have a similar reaction as scary movies. Which I don’t do well either.
Thanks for stopping by the blog.
Yeah horror is pretty scary for me too, our imaginations know no bounds!!
Awesome post, new follower:D

I’m not much of a horror fan myself! Thanks for stopping by & following my blog – I’m an old follower of your ๐
Oh, horror’s a good answer. I didn’t even think of it! Thanks for stopping by and following! Following you back!
“I just can’t ever get into a book where I know that pretty much everyone will die” I love that line! It made me giggle. But in a good way because it’s true! I think that’s why I try to avoid most horror books written for an adult audience (and why I try to avoid watching horror movies). It sucks to invest so much time in a book and characters just to discover everyone dies.
The only horror books I read were ones written for teens. Like the Fear Street books written by R.L. Stine! Those were pretty addictive, and most of the characters actually survived.
I get so scared when it comes to Horror! It’s the reason why I don’t go into haunted houses. I’m such a whimp! ๐ My FF!
I read very few horror books. The only series I really fell for was the Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan.
BTW, thanks for hopping by my blog last week!
Lol. Me, too! Thanks for stopping by the blog. Followed back.:)
Thanks very much for stopping by my blog. Sorry I am late. I agree with the horror, but I can’t say it is the writing style so much as the visions. When I read, I create everything within my mind. Picturing something like that would be similar to watching a movie. At some point it would come back to scare the crap out of me. I don’t want to do that to myself, so I don’t read it. I am a big chicken and have no problem admitting it. ๐ New follower.

I’m not a huge fan of horror either. I used to love it when I was younger but I just can’t read them anymore.
The Absent Game…
In between me and my husband we have owned a lot more MP3 players over time than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (common & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few decades I’ve settled down to one line of gamers….
