This is a feature that was started by Sara at Forever 17 Books after she read this babble article. I decided to join in because I love getting the innocent and oh so insightful opinion of kids. My 4 year old son and 3 year old daughter took a look at the cover of a book I have been enjoying this week. I asked them to look at the cover and tell me what they think the book is about.
Son: This is about a girl who saw a butterfly and tore it apart and glued it on her eyes. Then she became Butterfly Girl.
Daughter: This is a girl who died because a bug was on her nose. Then her daddy kissed her and waked her up. (Awwwwww)
So, this is a little scary. Ana looks angry!
Would you like to join in? All you need is a kid (your own or a nice/nephew/cousin/friend) a book and some paper and crayons! More details here.
LOL, I love your son’s explanation!
I gotta say this is one of my fave features. Your sons explanation was funny. Your daughters princess explanation was cute 🙂
Gotta love the distinct difference between boys and girls. lol <3
Aww, love the sleeping beauty type translation.
Happy reading,

Seriously laughing out loud at those explanations! Your kids have such imaginative minds! <3
I may have to play!! I really should remember this for next week! (Although perhaps I can add it in this weekend and link up!)
I love your son’s explanation almost as much as I love his drawing!!
Those plot summaries are hilarious! And that pic is a little scary, but it kind of fits, since the book isn’t all rainbows and sunshine. 😛
