Judging A Book By Its Cover (5)

My book cover judges
Untitled

This is a feature that was started by Sara at Forever 17 Books after she read  this babble article.  I decided to join in because I love getting the innocent and oh so insightful opinion of kids.  My 4 year old son and 3 year old daughter took a look at the cover of a book I have been enjoying this week.  I asked them to look at the cover and tell me what they think the book is about.

This week’s cover:

Daughter: This story is about a key that makes bubbles.  The bubbles go to her face and inside her body and make her go to sleep and then her mom said “her is fine” and then she woke up and the mom said “let her rest.”

Son: This story is about a boy with a key.  They key goes up in the air and then the key makes bubbles and when he starts to talk, the bubbles come out of his mouth.

Here is son’s interpretation of the cover:

Side note – this book is AMAZING.  Make yourself a note to run to the book store on the 22nd and get a copy!

Would you like to join in?  All you need is a kid (your own or a nice/nephew/cousin/friend) a book and some paper and crayons!  More details here.

  1. I love how both of them focus on bubbles. Katie would do the same thing…kid loves her bubbles. 🙂 I haven’t read this one yet, but I keep hearing how awesome it is. Can’t wait to see for myself!
