February Reading Goals

I have to say that having these reading goals has really helped me stay focused when I move on to the next book.  I know that many people don’t like to decide their next read this way, but it really worked for me.

So!  How did January end up?  Well, I think I did pretty good, all-in-all. It felt pretty good to move these books off of my review list.  Here are the results:

DNF
Save Me by Jenny Elliott

Read:
Memory Of Water by Emmi Itäranta                                                        Perfect Couple by Jennifer Echols
Dead Of Winter by Kresley Cole                                                                 Polaris by Mindee Arnett
The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall                                                       Playlist for the Dead by Michelle Falkoff
Cut Me Free by J.R. Johansson                                                                  A Memory Of Violets by Hazel Gaynor
Promise Me Something by Sara Kocek                                                     Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Rogue Wave by Sarah Donnelly                                                                 The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand
My Heart and Other Black Holes                                                               Amherst by William Nicholson
A Cold Legacy by Megan Shepherd                                                           There Will Be Lies by Nick Lake
Vivian Apple At The End of the World by Katie Coyle

I think my favorite was The Last Time We Say Goodbye.  I have not cried like that since The Fault In Our Stars.  You realllllly need to read this book.

Moving on to February, there are some great books coming out that I am very excited to read!

  1. Ah looks like you did great in terms of reading for January! I read 23 books – but was on holiday for this month, so had lots of free time!

And what a great selection for Feb! I’ve read Death Marked and The Island of Excess Love – enjoyed the former, but had quite a few issues with the latter.

    Happy reading!

  2. I never read as much as I like but I did get some good ones in. I loved most of what I read. I did read Soulprint and loved it.
I am excited to read Invaded. I pre ordered the audio. yay. great set to read in February. Can’t wait to see all your thoughts.

  3. Shutter I really enjoyed, and Seeker was okay but a bit tricky, because I still can’t really reconcile the juggling of genres in that one!
I cannot wait to hear what you think of Invaded and I’ll Meet You There, oh and Stone in the Sky!! I’m also reading The Boy Next Door for my book club in Feb, and so far I like it!

  4. Boo

I’m just getting back into reading after a bit of personal stuff. I read 4 books, which is more than I expected sad to say. Mostly sci-fi but also a young adult thriller (Casting Shadows Everywhere).

I’ve figured out 8 I want to read this month and have made good progress in the first one already so I think I may more than double January. I’m excited. It feels great to get back into reading. Like coming home.

All the books you’ve planned on reading look great. I’m afraid and exited for my to-read list to get impossibly long.
